The Cook Islands

IMO Representative

The Government of The Cook Islands appointed Captain Ian Finley as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to IMO in 2006.  He is now one of the longest serving permanent representatives at IMO.

Captain Finley is a Master Mariner, respected for his common sense approach and recognised for his substantive and influential contributions to international legislation debate and decision-making.
