Eleanor Roi Elected Vice Chairman

In a significant development for the maritime industry, Eleanor Roi, the CEO of the Cook Islands Ship Owners Association (CISOA), has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Asian Shipowners Association (ASA) during the 33rd Annual General Meeting held in Hong Kong. This marks a historical moment for the Cook Islands, placing them at the forefront of the regional shipping industry for the first time.

She said, “Mr Sonoda Yuichi ASA Secretary General, the Secretariat, Mr Chair and distinguished delegates, Kia Orana. Thank you very much for the warm welcome. It is an honor and privilege to represent the Cook Islands Ship Owners Association, the CISOA Board & our Members, here at the 33rd ASA AGM. CISOA looks forward to contributing to the important discussions, the dialogue, and decisions & of course the fruitful cooperative opportunities ahead in our collective pursuit to represent and propel the interests of our members and the Asia Pacific region. Further to this & most importantly, we look forward to welcoming you all to the heart of the Pacific, the Cook Islands in the very near future. Kia Orana e Kia Manuia.”
