The MCI team, consisting of Registrar of Ships Moeroa Matheson, Head of Marketing and Media Katrina Matheson, and Technical Manager Marcelo Chiazzaro, used this event to engage with current clients and partners who promote the Cook Islands flag.
The ASMEX 2024 Conference, now in its thirteenth year, was held at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort from Monday, 20 May to Wednesday, 22 May. This marine industry conference featured a full-day conference, industry tours, and networking activities, culminating in the 2024 Australian Marine Industry Awards.
Katrina Matheson, Head of Marketing and Media at Maritime Cook Islands, commented: “Attending the ASMEX Conference 2024 was informative, with industry leaders and innovators sharing great insights about the future of the maritime sector. The sessions encouraged collaboration, and the networking opportunities were excellent for building professional connections and potential partnerships.”
Our participation in the conference reflects MCI’s commitment to building relationships within the maritime industry and staying informed about industry developments. The connections and insights gained from these interactions support our goal of enhancing the profile of the Cook Islands flag.
The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show also provided an opportunity to engage with industry stakeholders and present the benefits of registering with Maritime Cook Islands.
Overall, the involvement of Moeroa Matheson, Katrina Matheson, and Marcelo Chiazzaro at these events highlights MCI’s active role in the maritime sector. We look forward to continuing to develop the relationships established and advancing the reputation of the Cook Islands flag in the global maritime community.
