
Eleanor Roi, Director of Business Development, will represent Maritime Cook Islands (MCI) at The Superyacht Times Hong Kong Superyacht Summit on May 7–8, 2025. The summit is a key event in the Asia-Pacific region’s superyacht calendar, bringing together industry leaders, regulators, and stakeholders to discuss developments shaping the future of the sector.
Eleanor Roi brings extensive experience to the forum. In addition to her role at MCI, she is Vice President of the Asian Shipowners’ Association (ASA) – an international organization representing shipowners in Asia – Chief Executive Officer of the Cook Islands Ship Owners Association (CISOA), and a Board Member of the Cook Islands Yacht Squadron. She has held positions on various Cook Islands Government boards, including the Cook Islands Investment Corporation, the Ports Authority Board, and the Cook Islands Vodafone Board. On the international stage, she serves as a delegate for the Cook Islands at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), where she actively contributes to the Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW) sub-committee, a key achievement being securing the Cook Islands’ inclusion on the IMO STCW Whitelist.
At the Hong Kong summit, Eleanor Roi will participate in roundtable discussions alongside regional and international stakeholders. These sessions will address current trends and challenges in the superyacht industry, with a focus on developments in the Asia-Pacific region. “This summit is an opportunity to strengthen regional cooperation and ensure that Maritime Cook Islands remains aligned with the evolving needs of the superyacht industry in Asia,” said Eleanor Roi. “Engaging with industry leaders on regulatory developments, operational standards, and market trends helps reinforce our commitment to high-quality, globally recognized flag services.”
