Maritime Cook Islands Reconnects at Sydney Boat Show

The Sydney International Boat Show took place at Darling Harbour from November 13-16, presenting 160 vessels and over 30 premieres to 20,000 visitors. The event provided a strategic platform for Maritime Cook Islands (MCI) to strengthen its presence within the Australian market.

Represented by Katrina Matheson, Head of Marketing & Media, and Paul Jackson, Technical Manager, the team maintained a full schedule of meetings over three days. Engagement focused on connecting with a diverse network of brokers, agents, captains, tax advisors, and Cook Islands approved surveyors.

A notable component of the itinerary was the Superyacht Australia Networking Event held on the opening night. Katrina Matheson attended the gathering, which served as a valuable opportunity to engage with industry peers in conjunction with the show’s launch.

Commenting on the visit, Katrina Matheson noted:

“It was great to meet up with our Australian network. Nothing replaces the value of connecting in person; these events are vital for strengthening relationships and truly understanding what is happening in the market and the needs of our clients.

The visit underscored MCI’s continued commitment to providing direct support and maintaining strong industry relationships across the region.
